Nestled in the Cape Winelands of South Africa, in the vibrant, sport-rich university town of Stellenbosch, the Stellenbosch Academy of Sport is situated in the perfect location in which to train and prepare for your next assignment.
Away from the distractions of urban city life, but with enough of a developed infrastructure, the town of Stellenbosch has a culture and history of academic learning and sports excellence.
The Stellenbosch climate sees summers that are dry and warm to hot, with some February and March days rising to over 40°c. Summer is from October to March, with temperatures averaging 22°c to 34°c (60°f to 94°f).
Winters are cool, rainy and sometimes quite windy, with daytime temperatures averaging 16°c. Winter temperatures can drop quite significantly and persistent rain does have the potential to disrupt outdoor training. But, with the state-of-the-art indoor grass facility, wet weather is not a deterrent.
